Firm Profile

We are a local firm providing independent advice. We will evaluate your situation and give you options to achieve the best outcome.

Insolvency services can only be provided by Licenced Insolvency Practitioners from 1st September 2020. Hamish Pryde and Brent Dickins are both members of Chartered Accountants Australia and New Zealand (CA ANZ) and a members of Restructuring Insolvency and Turnaround Association of New Zealand (RITANZ) and hold an Insolvency Practitioner Licence.

At the time of writing, Hamish and Brent are the only Licenced Insolvency Practitioners for the Manawatu, Wanganui, Rangitikei, Horowhenua, Wairarapa, Southern Hawkes Bay and the lower central North Island areas.

This is a wide area to service, however there is a genuine need for this specialised area of insolvency work, for which we are happy to serve.

If you are advising a stakeholder of a distressed business, we can help. We can review the Company's situation and independently advise on whether a rescue is possible, or alternatively liquidation may be the best option as there are risks for Directors who continue trading whilst the Company is insolvent. This can be helpful to re-affirm your own advice. We have helped many Companies through the liquidation process.

We will work hard to rescue Companies in trouble and, where that is not possible, we do our best to make sure the formal liquidation process is swift, straightforward and positive.

We are pragmatic and we determine the best course of action for all stakeholders.

Hamish Pryde

I had been a part time liquidator since 2005 until specialising and assisting local stakeholders in the area on insolvency matters since 2013.

I have attended to a wide variety of insolvencies including joiners, kitchen makers, cafes, restaurants, motorcycle sales & service, trucking companies, courier companies, engineering firms, builders, cool store, ladder manufacturer, pharmacy, refrigeration, engineering firms, insurance agency, a number of retailers and consultancy firms and a number of service and specialty manufacturers.

I find it important to deal with the facts, be independent and work for practical solutions, to achieve the best outcome for all concerned.
